I wasn't sure about the powdery drydown at first, but about twenty minutes in it turns soft and milky and I ended up leaving it burning all evening. The throw fills my whole living room without being overwhelming.

The anise note hits first, then it slowly turns powdery and milky over about an hour — exactly what I hoped for. I've been lighting it on the edge of my desk while I read, and the throw fills the whole room without being overwhelming. Honestly the best candle I've bought this year.
