I was worried the rose would turn soapy but it stays dark and honeyed the whole way down. The oud only shows up in the last hour, which is exactly when I want it.

I was worried the oud would overpower everything, but it actually sits underneath the rose and just smolders quietly. Burn time is solid too, got a good few evenings out of one candle.

The scent is hypnotic—that honeyed rose note really does wrap around the deep, woody oud exactly as described. Lit it in my living room and the whole space felt warmer and more mysterious within minutes. Burned evenly for about three hours so far with no soot.
