The mandarin flower note keeps the amber-vanilla base from going cloying, so the room smells expensive but never syrupy. I’ve been spritzing it in the hallway every morning and the trail lingers just enough to make coming home feel like an event.
The mandarin blossom note is what sold me — it keeps the amber and vanilla from feeling too heavy, so the room smells warm without being cloying. I sprayed it in my hallway this morning and the scent is still gently lingering now, which is exactly the subtle sillage I wanted.
The mandarin flower really does keep the amber from getting too heavy — I’ve had it going in the hallway for a week and it still smells fresh rather than cloying. Sillage is warm but not overpowering, exactly what I wanted for the cooler evenings.
